Editor

Every entry has a body, and the body is Markdown. Emet gives you two ways to edit it: a visual editor, where you see formatted text and click buttons, and a Markdown editor, where you see the source. Both write the same file, and you can switch between them whenever you like.

Which one you’ll prefer depends on what you’re writing. The visual editor is the one most people want (the people yearn for a button with a B on it), and it’s where shortcodes get their editing cards. The Markdown editor is for when you know exactly what you want the file to say, or when you want Vim.

  • Visual mode covers the WYSIWYG editor, its toolbar and the things Markdown can’t express.
  • Markdown mode covers the source editor, including Vim mode, search and shortcode highlighting.
  • Keyboard shortcuts lists the bindings for both.
